The magic puppy by Sue Bentley This book is fiction.
Never in Lola's wildest dreams had she imagined having a magic puppy for a friend! So when Storm, a fluffy black-and-white shih-Tzu puppy, suddenly appears, Lola's lonely school days come into a whole magical class of their own!
It is a magical world, about a small puppy and his mother a farther and brothers have been attacked by the shadow a evil wolf with his army of dogs who he has hypnotised to be evil. So far the evil wolf (Shadow) has killed the wolf’s father and brothers and wounded his mother. They have magic powers to do anything they want and they can turn into a puppy so he can hide from the shadow. The shadow is doing this because he wants to take over the world so he is trying to steal the throne so the puppy has to hide until he is strong he is strong enough to lead the pack so he has to go to the other world (the human world) and find a friend to help him hide. I enjoyed this book so I definitely recommend it.

Great Eva, thanks for the review! Did you know that 'The Number Devil' had been translated from German just for us? What else have you been reading that you think others might be interested in?
Hi my name is LyDIA. I am 5. I read "Why the sea is salty". There was a king and he had a millstone and it made spices and gold and anything he asked for. A thief stole it and he took a bite of a bun and he wanted some salt so he spat the bun out and asked the millstone for salt and it kept on turning and the boat sank because there was a pile of salt on it. He had to swim back home where an angry king was waiting for him. And that's how the sea got salty.

Sounds like a great story, Daina, though a bit frightening too. I hope that Storm and his family manage to defeat the evil Shadow.
